Good News: Salvation Only Through Christ
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

If you were to stand before God today, are you without a doubt certain where you would spend all of eternity? What would you say if God were to ask you why you believe you should spend your eternity in heaven with Him?

There are many things you could answer- but only one answer will allow you to spend eternity in Heaven: Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

You could be a kind person, smart, well mannered- it is not enough. You could be the most knowledgeable person about the bible on Earth- it is not enough. You could go to church everyday, do good deeds every chance you get, or send in large checks to your church every payday- still not enough. Why? Because God's word says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".

We as sinners cannot reach to the heights of the Holy God on our own- the bible says we all fall short. That is why God gave us a "bridge" to reach Him. The bible says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16. Matthew 1:21 says that: "you are to call him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

Sin entered the world when Adam and Eve disobeyed God's word. Since that time the relationship between God and man changed. How could a person, sinful by nature, enter into the Holy presence of God? How could God provide a way for a person to choose to come to Him by his own free will? God could have forced us all to choose Him but then we would not have a free will. By giving us a choice we choose Him out of love and obedience and not out of force. God provided Jesus to bridge that gap between Himself and us. By choosing to accept Christ into our lives He becomes a mediator between us and God.

Jesus says in John 10:10, "... I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." The bible also says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

When Jesus died on the cross, he died for everyone. For all of our sins. By calling on the name of Jesus and believing in His purpose of dying on the cross for our sins we receive salvation. Romans 10:9 says that if "you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Ephesians 2:8-9 states, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast." So you see, salvation is a free gift of grace that we cannot earn, we only need to ask to receive with a believing and sincere heart.

We are all sinners who need Christ. He waits for us with open arms no matter where we are in life right now. We could have done some terrible things. Fallen so short of where we should be that it sometimes feels like there is no hope. But Jesus IS hope. Once you confess your sins before Him and ask Him to come into your life, your sins are washed away. He already died for them. Jesus no longer sees your past from that moment on. He sees you as a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

Do you just know about Jesus or do you know Jesus? If you would like Jesus in your life then call on Him. Ask Him for forgiveness. Believe in His word and His death and resurrection on the cross. Begin your life anew in Him. If you say it with all your heart and truly believe, pray this prayer below or use it as a guide and provide your own words.

Father, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness of my sins. I need Jesus in my life. I believe He died on the cross for my sins, rose, and now lives in the kingdom eternally. Jesus, I ask that you come into my heart and make me whole. Direct my footsteps. Lead me, O God. In Christ Jesus' precious name, Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer right now and you meant it with all your heart, know that your prayer was heard and your sins forgiven!

1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

Luke 11:9 says, "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

If you just prayed and asked God into your heart, please share your decision that we may rejoice with you and encourage you on your daily walk with Christ! If you could not pray that prayer we encourage you to also email us that we may help you find the peace of mind and answers you are searching for.

Wherever you are at in your life, begin today reading the bible daily to learn of God's word and His will in our lives. Begin and end your days in prayer and continue to remember Him throughout your daily activities. Lift to Him all your love, needs, worries, and thanksgiving. It is also important to find a bible-believing church to continue to grow in His word and be encouraged through other believers and witness to those who do not yet know of Christ. In all these things God reveals more and more of Himself to us on a daily basis and our lives continue to transform under the hearing and doing of His word.

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
